Tinkerbell and an Owl

So I decided to really go all out this Halloween and make my kids costumes! My daughter chose tinkerbell, and she said she ONLY wanted green. LOL My other daughter Hannah decided she really wanted to be an owl. So, I went to work! The owl costume was super easy, all I used was scissors and a hot glue gun. Then I crocheted the owl hat for her.

The tinkerbell one I kind of just eyeballed and used measurements. I accidentally slipped up and made the belt to far down, so the day before Halloween I brought everything up and although my stitches weren't perfect, it worked and that's all that mattered to me! To this day, every day my daughter Jenaye comes home from school, she changes into her tinkerbell outfit. It is her favorite out of all the dresses she has, and that just melts my heart.

A Sweet Little Red Riding Hood

It's been awhile since I've posted a new blog entry, but I was very excited to share this costume I made for my 11 month old daughter. I knew once I had decided I was going to make costumes for my kids this year, what I wanted to make for my youngest.

It just seemed like a perfect fit for her, and boy was I right! Since we've had a very drawn out, warm fall this October in Alaska, I took advantage of it and got some absolutely adorable photos of her wearing her costume. She gave me tons of picture to choose from!! Oh. The. Cuteness!!!! The only thing I need is some shoes to complete it!!

One thing Im also excited about was finishing the dress with a zipper, something I had yet to do!! It was actually very easy!! The hardest part was most of the dress was eyeballed because my daughter was either sleeping or wouldn't stay still for me to work. So I was nervous when I went to have her try it on. I was completely surprised at how perfect it fit!!
